Hatha

A balanced, steady asana practice to develop the cohesion and capacity of the body. We will use asana (physical posture), pranayama (breathwork), bandha (internal locks) and mudra (hand seals) to examine how we can manipulate movement. Recommended for those new to practice or wanting to deepen their enquiry into asana.

Vinyasa

A dynamic, flowing practice with consistent emphasis on breath, alignment, and exploration of the physical body. This is an energetic asana practice that will revitalise and build strength – inside and out.

Yin

A slow, juicy, meditative practice in which floor-based poses are held for several minutes to truly sink into and release the body. Yin yoga deepens our awareness and ultimately our acceptance of our body’s capabilities, and is a wonderfully restorative practice; the perfect complement to dynamic movement.

Pre and Post Natal

I am trained in prenatal yoga, and in early 2018 I had full abdominal surgery which has enabled my understanding of the recovery from pregnancy and caesarean section. I would encourage you to consider some private sessions for this work, but you are welcome to come to class where modifications can be made to ensure you are able to practice safely and comfortably.

Chair Yoga

These sessions are an excellent yet gentle way to bring movement and awareness into the body, especially for those wth limited energy and mobility. We use slow, mindful motion and a deep focus on the breath to encourage the release of tension in both the body and the mind.

Meditation

I lead various styles of meditative awareness (one of my personal favourites, for example, being the Buddhist practice of Tonglen) to bring your attention inwards. The benefits of meditation are plentiful and proven, and extend beyond a seated practice into your every day, improving your relationship to yourself and to those around you.

Private

I offer private sessions in the comfort of your home, or any space you choose. which provide a beautiful opportunity to tailor and develop your personal practice, whether you are new to yoga, recovering from injury, or seeking to progress in a specific area.

Corporate

Having worked for many years in a global investment bank, I am acutely aware of the importance of bringing a moment of stillness into a busy day. Classes can be held in the morning, at lunchtime or the end of the working day, and are a wonderful way to cultivate a sense of community among colleagues, while relieving the body and mind of the tensions that so often build up in the workplace.

*Please note that prices for private sessions are negotiable according to your circumstances. I believe yoga should be available to everyone, and am happy to discuss individual payment plans.
